    Event Description:
The Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce invites you to join us on December 13th for our Monthly Educational Luncheon featuring  Allison Beresnyak Karakis, Government Relations Manager at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh.

2017 has brought big changes to Washington D.C. that will impact every industry. Building relationships with elected officials can assure your voice is heard and have other benefits as well. Come to get an update on legislation currently before Congress and learn strategies for building a stronger relationship with your member of congress.

Allison manages the Public Policy Network which is the in-district government relations program, which harnesses the grassroots energy and support from bankers, affordable housing partners, Realtors® and local officials who understand the important role the Bank plays in supporting housing and economic development throughout the Bank’s three states; West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

Allison has worked in both U.S. Senate and U.S. House offices. She most recently worked for Congressman Keith Rothfus (PA-12), overseeing his district operations. This included developing and implementing an outreach plan for the Congressman and his staff to develop relationships in the nonprofit, business, government, veteran and education communities; managing all aspects of the Congressman’s district schedule; organizing large-scale events; and developing advisory boards.
