Please join us for our July 11th Business Series for a presentation onWEDnetPA(Workforce & Economic Development Network of Pennsylvania) which supports PA companies by investing in the training needed to upgrade the skills, knowledge and effectiveness of their current employees. In today's current economic environment, they are more of an asset for Pennsylvania businesses than they've ever been before. Our Presenter for this luncheon is Heather Baldwin Allison. Heather has assisted traditional-age students, adult learners, and veterans achieve their education goals for almost 30 years. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Psychology from Shippensburg University. From there she was awarded a graduate administrative assistant position in the Higher Education Administration and Student Development program at The Ohio State University.
In 1998, she was given the opportunity to work with a new initiative through the Department of Community and Economic Development call "Workforce and Economic Development Network PA" of WEDnetPA, which provides training reimbursement funds to manufacturing and technology-based businesses within the Commonwealth. This year marks her 19th year working with WEDnetPA. She is very excited to be a part of Penn College's new Apprenticeship Center as well as working with Energy companies.
