Shadowbrook Resort is excited to announce that Helen Allen has been appointed as Executive Chef. Chef Helen is an extremely talented chef with an impressive culinary background that spans over 15 years. She will assume immediate oversight of Shadowbrooks culinary operations, including Bogey’s Grille, banquet, event cuisine and menu development. We are confident that our valued guests, customers and the Tunkhannock community will love what she prepares and presents to enhance their dining experience. Chef Helen comes to Shadowbrook from the University of Scranton where she held the position as Managing Chef and before that was the Assistant Chef and Foodservice Supervisor for Sodexo USA. Her resume boasts numerous experiences that make her more than a qualified fit for Shadowbrook Resort. She understands what it takes to keep a restaurant and banquet events running smoothly and provide unequaled customer service and delicious food.

She has may talents that await the guests and customers of Shadowbrook Resort, of particular interest is her exceptional talents in the pastry and dessert field.
Chef Helen is a graduate of Lackawanna College’s Culinary Arts program and will receive her Bachelors of Science in Food and Restaurant Management from Lackawanna College in May 2019. Chef Helen is also ServeSafe certified through the National Restaurant Association.
